Council has for many years been conducting programs and activities to encourage healthy ageing. In 2014 Clarence was awarded status as an Age-friendly City by the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and Communities. The Age-friendly City title recognises Clarence’s efforts over the last 10 years to involve and cater for older residents.

You can find information about the activities of the Clarence Positive Ageing Advisory Committee (CPAAC) and other information relating to ageing well here.
